It all started with a tale of the Mysterious Liquor Boss, Gertrude Lythgoe; rum running female of the Prohibition era. The Queen of the Rum Row, leading the revolution for a rum-soaked future with brains, beauty and breath-taking fury. Gertrude Lythgoe was the fiery orchestrator of a highly profitable liquor shipping operation. A smuggler of rum (and other liquor) to the U.S, through the Bahamas in the 1920s.
Gertie’s Prohibition Craft Rum is inspired by her story.
